Stopping, Thinking, and Bounty Hunting

This will be the first of many recommendations for this site.....you have to go here and check out the video. Although there is nothing new under the sun. This message is the culmination of the progressive revelation we call the Bible. I think this guy and his "movement" will be everywhere. It is the pure gospel. 2000 years ago it was recorded and he found a very cool way to present it. I dig the surfboard and the ocean view. Just like the guys at Living Waters, and Wretched Radio (who have been doing this for years) Francis Chan presents the biblical method for evangelism. Present the Law, then the GOOD news of the Gospel. All the while he seems to either be rejecting or side-stepping those terms (time will tell if the heathen public will pallet this differently colored pill). This method never loses it's power! As long as we, in our witness encounters, use God's law to bring about Godly sorrow, we will throw open the door to present the Gospel. I for one applaud Chan for his presentation. Can't wait to read the book which will be reviewed here in the coming months.

Two more things.....

I have been witnessing at work to a guy I call "the bounty hunter". We used to HATE eachother (B.C. for me). Mutually, and with equal fire. He really is a very smart man who LOVES his sin, and your sin (as long as you tell him all the details). He has a very low view of God and the Bible. He knows the Jesus died for him, and I suspect he is all about sowing his wild oats before he looks toward eternity with any type of sobriety. Just ask that God will show him the fragile state we all live in, and that we are not promised tomorrow. The strange thing is that he told me the other day he has actually been shot! He weighs heavy on my heart and has even made my prayer life more full and fervent.

Check this video out-

I think I may run with this one and start a new Anti-Prosperity Movement. I always thought that living paycheck to paycheck was bad stewardship? Maybe I don't have a savings account because I would fall to pride and trust in what I have accomplished instead of what Jesus has accomplished in me. Which, looking from the inside out- is amazing.

Until we fellowship again,

The Ogre
